The Footscray Bulldogs have emerged victorious in a 34-point victory against Essendon at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.
The Bombers started strong in the first quarter, showing very little mercy, despite the Dogs dominance inside 50.
But crucial goals from Riley Garcia, Rory Lobb and Dan Orgill brought half-time to a nail-biting battle with just one point separating the two sides.
The Dogs refused to go away easy, as Sam Willoughby paved the way 19 seconds into the third term with a stellar goal.
It was then the Scray's relentless pressure and precise movement that proved too hot for Essendon to handle.
Garcia again found plenty of the footy, amassing 36 disposals, seven marks, four tackles, six clearances and a goal.
Arthur Jones finished with three goals from nine disposals, while James Harmes (28 possessions, eight tackles, one goal) was solid.
Now with three winning matches under their belt, the Dogs will look to continue this streak when they meet Williamstown next Saturday.
