Western Bulldogs club debutant Lachie Bramble says there is no ceiling on what the group can achieve this year.
Signed in the SSP on the eve of the pre-season following 30 games at Hawthorn, Bramble said he was looking forward to the second chance.
“I’m feeling really good and really positive. I’m loving my time here – I’m loving the players, and the coaches have a lot of faith in me,” Bramble told RSN on Thursday morning.
“I’m feeling positive about this weekend. I’m not too nervous yet but I'm sure as it gets closer I will be.”
Bramble will be one of three club debutants against Melbourne this Sunday, and one of five Dogs’ debutants in total.
Joining him in running out in the red, white and blue hoops for the first time will be draftee Ryley Sanders.
“He's a very good player,” Bramble said of Sanders.
“He's very switched on, and very mature for a 19-year-old kid coming into the system.
“Like Bevo said, he’s well ahead of most guys who come into footy clubs as 18-year-olds and that’s the perfect way to put it. He gets his work done, he works really hard and is just a good guy. He finds the footy and is a really smart user as well.
“It’s pretty exciting for Doggies fans.”
Bramble said the sky is the limit for the Bulldogs in 2024.
“I feel like we've got a really strong list, and a really strong bond here coming in,” he said.
“Just to see how close all the boys are together – everyone’s loving their time here, loving the fresh faces of the coaches as well – it’s just a really positive vibe at the footy club and everyone's just loving their footy.
“I don't think there's any ceiling on what we can achieve this year, which is pretty exciting.”
