The Western Bulldogs will unleash three club debutants for their clash against Melbourne on Sunday, with Nick Coffield, James Harmes and Lachie Bramble all set to pull on the red, white and blue for the first time.
Coffield, 24, will play his first game of AFL football in 948 days, having last played for St Kilda in Round 23, 2021.
The defender played 50 games for the Saints before crossing to the Dogs during the trade period in October last year.
Premiership midfielder James Harmes’ first outing for the Bulldogs will be against his old side, having played 152 games over eight seasons for the Demons before his arrival at the Kennel.
The 28-year-old has played a variety of positions over the pre-season and will add valuable experience to the Bulldogs line-up.
A dashing defender, Bramble will commence his fourth AFL season with a Bulldogs debut at the MCG, adding to the 25-year-old’s 30 games in Hawthorn’s brown and gold.
The full Bulldogs squad will be announced on Thursday at 6.20pm.
