Lin Jong says that despite a growing injury list, the spirits are high at the kennel as the side prepares to face the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.
“The injuries have been unfortunate but the mood’s still really good," he told westernbulldogs.com.au.
With half-back playmaker Jason Johannisen joining skipper Bob Murphy on the sidelines following last weekend’s game against Carlton, Jong has told westernbulldogs.com.au that the speedsters’ injury will provide an opportunity for someone else to step up.
“As bad as injuries are it’s an opportunity for other guys to come into the team and play a role.
“We’ve got so many guys that can go through there who’ve been playing well in the VFL and everyone would be ready to step up and fill that role.
“It’s all about sharing the role and taking it as a team instead of individuals.”
Jong says that having just come back into the side, he’s still finding his feet but is focused on improvement going forward.
“Everything is always a constant improvement and that’s the idea around the footy club here as well.
“We’re looking to improve on everything, we’re never happy with where we’re at and we want to keep getting better.”
