The Western Bulldogs are deeply saddened by the passing of Ron Stockman.
The 1954 premiership player passed away on December 29, aged 89.
Deployed as a defender, Stockman played 73 games for the Bulldogs between 1953-1958 and was later inducted as a Bulldogs Life Member.
Recruited locally from West Footscray, Stockman kicked his one and only goal for his career during the 1954 Grand Final against Melbourne.
Post his career at Footscray, Stockman would continue his career at South Melbourne, finishing his playing journey in 1961 on 96 games.
The Club sends its sincere condolences to Ron’s wife Norma, his family and friends.
