Western Bulldogs captain Ellie Blackburn has polled the second-most W votes of all-time, following Monday night’s 2023 W Awards night.
She currently has 78 votes to her name from eight seasons – sitting just one behind 2023 winner and former teammate, Monique Conti.
It’s an impressive feat for the 28-year-old, who led the all-time tally after season seven (68 votes) and managed votes in five games this year – including two best-on-ground performances.

It brings her career average to 1.15 votes per game.
In other awards, Blackburn is one of three Club nominees for the AFLPA Most Valuable Player trophy, and also in the running for Best Captain – both of which will be announced tonight.
She is also in the mix to claim what would be her fifth Club Champion medal next Thursday night at the 2023 AFLW Bulldogs’ Best and Fairest.
