Premiership Bulldog Bailey Hunt has been advised that she will not be offered a contract for the 2024 AFLW season.
The 27-year-old celebrated her 50th game in the final round of the 2023 NAB AFLW season, after being drafted with Pick 60 in the 2016 Draft.
She made her debut in the opening round of the 2017 season – earning the Club’s first Rising Star nomination in the process – and played a key role in the 2018 Grand Final triumph.
An inaugural Bulldog, Hunt had been part of the leadership group for the last four seasons.
AFLW Head of List Management & Recruiting, Mick Sandry, thanked Hunt for her contribution to the red, white and blue both on and off the field, including working in the Club’s Finance department.
“We would like to thank Bailey for everything she has given across her eight seasons at the Bulldogs, both as a player and also during her time in the Club’s administration team,” he said.
“Bailey is much-loved by the entire program, and always gave maximum effort for her teammates. She will forever be a Premiership Bulldog.
“We wish Bailey all the best for the future.”
