Every goal will mean more this AFLW season thanks to The Pancake Parlour’s commitment to helping more kids within the community play sport no matter what their circumstances are.
The Pancake Parlour is teaming up with the Western Bulldogs and charity organisation TeamSports4All in 2023 to raise money through their Goal for Grassroots campaign.
For every goal kicked by any Western Bulldogs AFLW player during the 2023 NAB AFLW season, The Pancake Parlour will donate $100 to assist families who are experiencing financial hardship, and due to their situation, wouldn’t be able to afford to pay the costs for their children to play sport.
After the first two rounds of the season, the tally sits at $700.
The Pancake Parlour CEO Mandy David is delighted about the partnership.
“For over 40 years we’ve been partnering sporting clubs and organisations from the elite right through to the grassroots to not only give back to the community, but to help support inclusivity and equal opportunity in women’s sport as seen with our long standing AFLW Bulldogs partnership,” she said.
“With the current economic backdrop and cost of living crisis we’re looking to extend our support to those Melbourne families most in need post-COVID, and TeamSports4All were the perfect match to integrate to our lovely Bulldogs partnership.”
TeamSports4All are passionate about inclusivity and believe that everyone should have access to community sport no matter what the circumstances are.
Director Fiona Gathercole is equally ecstatic about the partnership.
“We’re proud and excited to be involved in this initiative, where we can help more disadvantaged kids play sport – especially now that we’re helping families in the West,” she said.
No child should miss out on the opportunity to play team sport, so get behind the Bulldogs' effort to support as many families as possible in 2023 by kicking GOALS FOR GRASSROOTS!
