Footscray has qualified for the 2023 VFL Finals Series after finishing the home-and-away season in sixth position on the ladder.
It caps off a stunning 10-game winning streak, which catapulted the ‘Scray up the ladder and into the finals race.
As a result, the Bulldogs will have a bye this weekend (August 26/27) during the VFL Wildcard Round – which will determine their Elimination Final opponent.
In the Wildcard Round this weekend, Casey will meet North Melbourne (7th vs 10th) while Collingwood hosts Richmond (8th vs 9th).
The ‘Scray will face the highest-ranked Wildcard Round winner of these matches.
