The Bulldogs have named a squad of 22 players for the hit-out, headlined by reigning Club Champion and captain Ellie Blackburn, and newly-elevated co-vice captains Kirsty Lamb and Bailey Hunt.
Off-season recruits Maggie Gorham and Dom Carruthers will also feature, while premiership Bulldog Kirsten McLeod will return from a leg injury sustained late last season.
The full squad list can be viewed below.
Following last weekend’s match simulation against Hawthorn, this practice match will incorporate four new rule adjustments:
- Quarters extended by about two minutes, depending on stoppages
- Interchanges capped at 60 per game
- Boundary throw-ins to take place from boundary inside the 50m arc
- Runners can only enter the field three times per quarter, plus after goals
The Bulldogs will kick off their 2023 NAB AFLW Season campaign against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 2 September.
