Skipper Marcus Bontempelli is closing in on the Club’s all-time tackling record, having laid 152 tackles from the season so far.

Fellow midfield bull Tom Liberatore holds the current record for most tackles in a season with 173, at an average of 7.86 which he achieved in 2014.

Bontempelli is currently travelling at an average of 7.24, and requires 21 more to catch Liberatore.

The skipper’s personal best came against Richmond in round four when he stuck 12 tackles, and has registered at least 10 or more tackles on four occasions this season.

Of his 214 career games, Bontempelli averages 5.14 tackles.

In other stats, he is one goal off registering 200, and is averaging career-high disposals (27.29) and clearances (7.48) this season.
