The AFLW Bulldogs ramped up their 2023 preparations with a preseason camp in Portsea over the weekend.
Check out some of the highlights from each day.
DAY 1
The AFLW program arrived at The Portsea Camp on Boon Wurrung Country, and were involved in an Acknowledgment of Country and education session run by Dani Gower that night.
The group learnt about respect for the land and were connected through a team-bonding activity.

DAY 2
The following morning, the program headed down to Rye Football Club for a morning training session.
Through light rain and brisk winds, the team went through a number of skills and drills before finishing up with some match simulation.
Post-training, it was back to Portsea and after a bit of lunch, straight into the traditional camp activities – high ropes and the flying fox.
Trust between players was tested, with plenty of support and encouragement on offer for those who feared heights.
DAY 3
The final day of camp was all about recovery – with the playing group treated to a spa day in Sorrento – before heading back home to enjoy the rest of the weekend.
The program will resume training at VU Whitten Oval this Wednesday afternoon, with the countdown to round one on Saturday 2 September well and truly on.
