The Western Bulldogs finished the home and away season last week in tremendous fashion, defeating Collingwood by 24 points to steal 3rd position on the ladder.

The Dogs needed to win by more than 22 points to take the 3rd spot; they did this with 1 minute to go with Captain Brad Johnson setting up the win with his fourth goal of the game.

It was a great contest, even with numerous key players missing the Bulldogs proved too strong for the Magpies.

This week the Western Bulldogs first pre-finals open training session was a great success. The weather was perfect and around 400 dedicated fans, plus VIP guests flooded the revamped EJ Whitten stand, the ovals edge and passed through the new infill building to show their support for the 'Red, White and Blue', making the team's training session one to remember.

As the boys finished up and headed to the oval's edge to meet and sign autographs for their fans they were met with a grand round of applause from the spectators, the team reciprocated the applause and showed their sincere thanks to those who have supported them throughout the journey.

In another win for the Club this week the final piece in the Whitten Oval Redevelopment was given the green light, with thanks to a $1.2million Federal Government grant. To find out more about this exciting announcement and the opportunities ahead click here.
