As part of Victoria’s Big Build, works will take place this winter on 18 dangerous and congested level crossing removal sites. As part of the West Gate Tunnel Project, the widening of the West Gate Freeway and building of the elevated Footscray Road will continue, with works to widen the Dynon Road Bridge also taking place. Meanwhile, there will be intermittent road disruptions due to Northeast Link works, as well as upgrade works on key roads across the state. These works will cause delays on key roads and surrounding areas. Be sure to plan ahead, allow extra time or take an alternative route if possible.

Public Transport Disruptions - Saturday, July 1
Craigieburn Line
From 8.30pm, buses replace trains between Flagstaff and Essendon stations.
Upfield Line
Buses replace trains between Flagstaff and Upfield stations.
Sunbury Line
Buses replace trains between Flagstaff and Sunshine stations.
Werribee Line
Buses replace trains between Flagstaff and Newport stations.
Williamstown Line
Buses replace trains between Flagstaff and Williamstown stations.
Cranbourne and Pakenham lines
Buses replace trains between Richmond and Westall stations. There will be express buses from Burnley to Oakleigh to connect passengers to trains on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines. Passengers can catch an Alamein, Belgrave or Lilydale train to BurnleyStation to transfer to these services.
Frankston Line
Buses replace trains between Flinders Street and Moorabbin stations.
Stony Point Line
Buses replace trains between Frankston and Stony Point stations.
Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough lines
Coaches replace trains between Melton and Ballarat, Ararat and Maryborough stations until 7pm.
Seymour Line
From 9pm, coaches replace trains between Southern Cross and Seymour stations.
Gippsland Line
Coaches replace Traralgon trains between Southern Cross and Pakenham stations.
Coaches replace Bairnsdale trains between Southern Cross and Bairnsdale stations.
Roads
Dynon Road closed between the inbound exit ramp from CityLink to Dryburgh Street.
Geelong Road to the Princes Freeway outbound ramp closed.
