Senior-listed Bulldogs Sam Darcy and Roarke Smith will make their returns from injury via Footscray VFL this weekend.

Darcy has been sidelined for the past month and a half with a lung concern, while Smith has not featured at any level this year after dealing with a plantar fascia ankle injury.

The duo are two of 19 AFL-listed players to be named for the state-league’s double-header against Geelong, alongside Caleb Poulter who was elevated to the senior list via Wednesday’s Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

Harvey Gallagher will look to continue developing his game after making his VFL red, white and blue debut last week.

Mitch Hannan and Lachie McNeil have also been added to the line-up, alongside fellow AFL emergencies Laith Vandermeer and Alex Keath.

One of the four will be named as the tactical substitute an hour before the AFL first bounce.

Joel Garner has also been included in the side.

The first bounce will be at 2.35pm AEST at Avalon Airport Oval, acting as a curtain-raiser to the later AFL match at 7.25pm AEST at Marvel Stadium.

The match will be live-streamed via afl.com.au/vfl, with score updates available via @FootscrayVFL on Twitter.
