The Western Bulldogs have surged past their membership record for the second season in succession, reaching 51,056 members so far in 2023.
Since arriving at the 50,000 mark late last month, the groundswell of support has continued from the red, white and blue family, reaching the record off the back of 40,000 renewals for the 2023 season.
The continued growth of the Bulldogs’ fan base comes off the back of sustained success on and off field, with both AFL and AFLW sides making the finals last season.
The Club has become a consistently profitable organisation, while its Whitten Oval precinct redevelopment is creeping closer to being completed.
The momentum has seen Bulldogs fans vote with their feet over the weekend against Hawthorn, culminating in the largest home-and-away crowd for the red, white and blue since Round 3, 2018.
“This momentous achievement is another significant milestone in the growth journey of our Club,” Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains said.
“Our supporters and fans are the lifeblood of the Western Bulldogs, with their support and loyalty the key to the continued evolution of our Club.
“Our players, both male and female, love running out in front of the red, white and blue faithful, whether it be at Marvel Stadium, Mars Stadium, VU Whitten Oval or any other venue across Australia.
“Having such a strong membership renewal is a testament to the ongoing loyalty, commitment and passion of our long-standing members.
“With some exciting times ahead, we encourage those who haven’t as yet to get on board and become part of the red, white and blue.”
