Marcus Bontempelli has moved into equal-second in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year leaderboard, following a best-on-ground performance against Fremantle.
The skipper stuffed the stats sheet on Friday night, collecting 31 disposals, six marks, 10 tackles, eight clearances, seven inside 50s, 528 metres gained and two goals to continue his prolific start to 2023.
It marked Bontempelli’s second perfect 10-vote game of the year, bringing his tally to 33 votes after six rounds.
In a red, white and blue clean sweep, Adam Treloar earned seven votes for a 35-disposal and two-goal display, Bailey Williams received six votes following his career-best three-goal outing, and Jack Macrae polled five votes.
Liam Jones and Tim English received one vote each for their efforts.
