The Western Bulldogs’ round two clash against St Kilda this Saturday night is set to mark the 24th iteration of the annual Barker-Whitten Challenge Plate.

Named in honour of respective Club legends Ted Whitten and Trevor Barker and played once a year between the Bulldogs and Saints, the Plate recognises the work of the Trevor Barker Foundation and EJ Whitten Foundation – both of which partner with Challenge.

Challenge is an organisation dedicated to supporting children and their families living with cancer.

The winning captain will be awarded the Barker-Whitten Challenge Plate post-match.

The Bulldogs have claimed the Plate on 12 occasions since 2000, following their most-recent 22-point win in round 18 last year.
