Victoria University Whitten Oval will play host to the 2013 National Police Remembrance Day on Friday 27 September 2013 from 12:15pm, in conjunction with Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.

Held in remembrance of those men and women who have lost their lives in the line of duty, National Police Remembrance Day allows fellow officers and the wider community to honour their memory.

157 Victorian Police members have been killed while on duty further emphasising the dangers police officers face on a daily basis to project the community.

The event aims to ensure their sacrifice and loss is acknowledged through a range of projects that benefit the wider community.

Light refreshments will be served from 12:15pm while the official proceedings will commence 1pm at Victoria University Whitten Oval.
