Seven years ago the Bulldogs were aligned with the Werribee Tigers in the VFL but on Sunday the two teams will go head to head for the first time when Footscray travel further west.

While Werribee sit one and a half wins out of the top four, Footscray have consolidated their position second on the ladder with a healthy percentage.

The Dogs have lost to only fourth placed Box Hill in the past ten rounds and will be looking to increase that tally with just three games remaining in the home and away season.

The Tigers however have only won two of their last four games, after producing mixed results this season.

Now the North Melbourne VFL affiliate, Werribee has vast talent at their disposal, with names such as Mason Wood and Ben Brown in ominous form.
