The Western Bulldogs will open their 2023 AFL season with a blockbuster Saturday night clash against Melbourne.

The Dogs and Demons resume their rivalry at the MCG on Saturday, March 18 at 7.25pm to begin their home-and-away campaigns.

The round one men’s fixture was confirmed by the AFL on Sunday morning, with more announcements around the 2023 campaign to follow in coming days.

Both sides played out a classic late in season 2022, with the Dogs coming away 10-point winners in front of a packed Marvel Stadium crowd.
