Western Bulldogs off-season addition Rory Lobb has been given the number seven guernsey for season 2023.

The 29-year-old assumes the number made vacant by the departing Lachie Hunter.

It comes after Lobb wore #37 at both GWS (2014-18) and Fremantle (2019-22) for 140 career games so far.

The 207cm versatile tall arrived at the Kennel in the final minutes of the 2022 AFL Trade Period.

He is set to play a combination of ruck and forward minutes, according to new senior assistant coach Brendon Lade.

“Rory does that role as good as probably anyone in the league,” Lade told RSN last week.

“With his size and mobility, plus his ability to mark the ball in the forward-line and compete in the ruck – he’s an exciting prospect.”
