The thought of Stewart Crameri in attack will have opposition defenders alert but Senior Assistant Coach Brett Montgomery says a fit Tom Williams could cause a few headaches of his own this year.

An area of the ground that is still developing, the Bulldogs forward line looks to have some genuine options in 2014.

“I think that with the way that our forward line is set up with Crameri coming in, and with Jonsey, I think they will complement each other quite well,” Montgomery said.

“[Williams] loves it. He thinks he was born to be a forward… he has all the attributes, so that’s the main thing.

“He’s a fantastic athlete.”

Williams has been meticulous in his rehabilitation in the lead-up to the pre-season and the benefits are showing on the track.

“He has jumped every hurdle that we have thrown in front of him,” he said.

Williams has played 78 games since being drafted in the 2004 AFL Draft predominantly playing as a defender, but in his recent venture into the forward line he has looked threatening.
