The key events and activities happening in Ballarat this weekend for AFLW Pride Round.
Pride Supporter Group Function
When: Saturday 15 October, 6.30pm
Where: Aunty Jack’s – 315-317 Mair Street, Ballarat Central
Join the Ballarat LGBTQIA+ community for a fun night before the game, with raffles and door prizes. Bulldog Pride also need Banner Bearers for the big game, so come along to put your name in the hat. Wear your Pride and/or Bulldogs colours, and book a spot via email at info@auntyjacks.com.au with ‘Bulldogs Pride Function’ as the subject heading. Bulldog Pride March to Mars
When: Sunday 16 October, 11.20am
Where: Selkirk Stadium (outdoor courts) - 989 Norman St, Wendouree
Join Bulldog Pride and the local community in a march to MARS Stadium before the game on Sunday. Marshalling at Selkirk Stadium outdoor courts from 11.20am, the march itself will commence at 11.40am. Following the footpath along Norman Street, the march will then turn right along Creswick Road (see below map). Participants will enter MARS Stadium via Gate 1 (will require a valid ticket to match) at approximately midday.
Bulldogs Fan Zone
When: Sunday 16 October, throughout game
Where: MARS Stadium (netball courts)
Come and check out the Western Bulldogs Fan Zone, located on the MARS Stadium netball courts. There’ll be plenty on offer including:
- Bulldogs giveaways (posters, flags, sweat towels and more)
- A quiet space & book reading by Ballarat Library
- Face painters and glitter stations provided by the AFL
- An appearance from Club mascot, Caesar the Bulldog
- Football inflatable and Coinspot handball targets to practice football skills
- Further Pride giveaways from the Bulldog Pride supporter group
- Garden Games provided by Y Ballarat
- Restart a Heart/VU activities
- Pride Group Clothes swap and Frolic Marquee
- Speak charity organisation
