When looking back at the Western Bulldogs most famous trades, it is hard to go past big bustling Barry Hall.
At 32, Hall requested a trade to the Bulldogs after kicking 467 goals over eight seasons at the Sydney Swans, crossing for Pick 47 in the National Draft.
In the end, that became a bargain.
Hall kicked 135 goals in just 39 games, including 80.41 during the 2010 season. Those statistics earned the full-forward All Australian honours for the fourth time.
Across the two seasons in red, white and blue, Hall won the leading goal kicker twice at the club and retired at the conclusion of the 2011 season.
In his final eight games of his career, Hall managed 40 goals for the Bulldogs.
His career finished with 746 majors, placing him 14th on the all-time goal-kicking list and an AFL Hall of Fame inductee.
The 2010 season will be remembered for the Bulldogs finishing fourth on the ladder and making their way through to a Preliminary Final.
Ironically, the semi-final victory was over Hall’s former side the Swans by five-points, Hall kicked four goals in that famous fixture.
