As we pass the midway point of AFLW season seven, we’re looking at some of the Club’s stats leaders so far.
Disposals
Skipper Ellie Blackburn is the leading ball-winner after five rounds, registering 99 touches at an average of 19.8 per game. Her greatest output so far was in round four against Hawthorn, where she notched up 22 disposals to go with four tackles and a goal.

Reliable defender Katie Lynch has started season seven in fine form, nabbing the most marks with 28 so far. Impressively, she sits second across the competition – only two behind the overall leader.

Tackles
Not only is she winning the footy, but Ellie Blackburn is also applying the pressure. From five games, she has laid 28 tackles, travelling at an average of 5.6.

Clearances
Once again, it’s the skipper Ellie Blackburn leading by example when it comes to clearances. She’s recorded 21 clearances so far in season seven, just two ahead of midfield partner-in-crime Kirsty Lamb.

Four Bulldogs share the lead for most goals kicked after five rounds, demonstrating the spread of responsibility up forward. Spending more time inside the arcs, Gabby Newton and Celine Moody have added four goals apiece, while Rocky Cranston and Rylie Wilcox have made the most of their forward forays too.

Hit outs
There’s no surprise Alice Edmonds leads the club for most hit outs (129) after taking on the number one ruck role this season. More impressive though, is the fact she leads the entire league too, recording an average of 25.8 per game.
