Western Bulldogs utility Brit Gutknecht will undergo surgery on her right leg today in Adelaide.
The 21-year-old suffered a broken tibia and fibula in the second quarter of the Bulldogs’ round two AFLW match against Port Adelaide.
She was taken directly to hospital following the incident.
Gutknecht will remain in Adelaide post-surgery until she is deemed fit to fly back to Melbourne.
