The annual Fresh Photographic exhibition will open on the 9th of October from 6pm at the Whitten Oval.  It is the first time the exhibition, which will be displayed in the Infill Building, has been held at the Club since the multi-million dollar redevelopment.

Students have been working with teaching staff and Artist in Resident, Robert Mangion to explore the ideas of risk taking behaviours as they pertain to their status as ‘at risk young people’. This has included exploring such issues as binge drinking, drug use, gangs, graffiti and homelessness.

Although staged for the camera, the photographs are confronting but are not intended to shock.  The idea is to illustrate the type of lifestyles that influence young people today, to help build awareness, self-expression and debate.

The exhibition will remain on display at this location until October 30th so come down to Whitten Oval and check it out.

This project is an extension of the Department of Justice’s Big Deal Gambling Education project.
