Western Bulldogs duo Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Marcus Bontempelli have shared best-on-ground honours in round 19, according to coaches Luke Beveridge and Simon Goodwin.
The pair received eight AFLCA Champion Player of the Year votes each for their performances in the 10-point come-from-behind victory over Melbourne.
Ugle-Hagan was prolific, contributing five goals – including the sealer – to go with 10 disposals, six marks, five inside 50s and five score involvements, while Bontempelli inspired with 26 touches, nine tackles, 11 clearances, six inside 50s and a goal.
Despite being subbed off early in the fourth quarter, Adam Treloar received four votes for his 28-disposal, six-mark and one-goal effort.
Defenders Ryan Gardner (two votes) and Ed Richards (one vote) rounded out the Bulldogs’ vote-getters.
