Tim Austin is this week’s winner in westernbulldogs.com.au’s American Tourister “State Your Case” competition.

Tim stated the case that Senior Coach Brendan McCartney should consider elevating mature aged rookie Mark Austin to the senior list while Tom Williams is sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Our weekly winner put his faith in the rookie who shares his last name but claims to be of no relation to the Bulldogs defender.

He said: “I think Mark Austin is the man as we already have 3 tall’s that are probably ahead of Tom Campbell.  Mark Austin plays the same role as Tom Williams with a touch more run in his game, therefore he'd be a great acquisition for the team.  So it's my opinion that Mark Austin should be packing his Cube Alfa Suitcase on the morning of April 1st to play West Coast. P.s we're not related!”

For stating his case as to which Bulldogs rookie should be elevated to the senior list while Tom Williams is on the sideline, Tim has won an American Tourister Cube Alfa Suitcase valued at $320.

“It should be up to the new coaching panel to decide, as they know the direction they want us to go”

Chris Jones
"Tom Campbell's eyecatching (sic) debut in the Bulldogs colours last week and solid performance in the intra club match make him the standout choice to be elevated in Tom William's absence. He will bring some added depth to our inexperienced ruck line-up and add a strong marking and goal scoring option up forward. His inclusion will also give the option of using Ayce Cordy in defense (sic) if matchups require his height at any time. No other rookie elevation gives us the ability to add strength and flexibility to our rucks, forward line and defense (sic) all at once.”

Jacob Holley
“I wouldn't elevate anyone just yet. I let all the rookies know a position is there for the taking. It would create some real competitive spirit amongst the boys.”

Gavin Thompson
“Tom Campbell is the best  He's the one who'll do  He'll come out snarling  His size and strength is a coup  Tom will fight and Tom will soar  He'll give his very best  Cos you can't beat the boy who is 2 metres tall  He'll wear the Bulldog logo on his chest”
