The Western Bulldogs Football Club has reached another significant milestone in its long and storied history, breaking the Club’s all-time membership record.

With the tally surging past 47,961 members this week, the Club has now surpassed the 2017 landmark and maintains its sights on going beyond 50,000.

The momentum has continued throughout the 2022 campaign, seeing the Bulldogs’ AFLW membership category eclipse 3000 members for the first time in the Club’s history.

Western Bulldogs CEO Ameet Bains thanked the Club’s members for their continued loyalty and commitment to the red, white and blue.

“To break our membership record for a second time in five years is a testament to our passionate supporters and their unwavering commitment to our Club,” Bains said.

“After two very challenging seasons, this achievement displays the trust that all members and supporters have in the direction of this Club and for that we are incredibly humbled and grateful.

“It’s been fantastic to see red, white and blue draped across Marvel Stadium and Mars Stadium in recent weeks, displaying the connection and unity that the Western Bulldogs brings to people right across the country.

“The Club continues to be in a really strong position, both on and off field with stage two of our VU Whitten Oval Redevelopment also underway.

“This record is another significant step towards our ‘beyond 50k’ goal set out at the beginning of the season. We encourage our members to attend games wherever possible and invite our supporters to sign up and be a part of this exciting journey.

“From our entire Club - players, staff and partners - we cannot thank our members enough for their continued support and loyalty.”
