Season Overview:
Defensive forward / midfielder Nathan Djerrkura played his best season to date before announcing his early retirement last week. Adding 13 games to his career tally, the 24 year old played five of the opening six games for the Bulldogs before a stint in the VFL for Williamstown. He continued to push for selection being named amongst the best on four occasions for the Seagulls before being recalled to the senior lineup in round 15. He only missed one more game for the remainder of the season.

By the Numbers:
A key stat for Djerrkura this season was goal assists - in 13 games he had a hand in setting up ten goals and had the highest average number of goal assists per game at the Club. He also ranked 13th in average inside 50s this season at the Bulldogs including a career high eight inside 50s against his old team Geelong in round 22. Djerrkura also secured personal records in marks (nine) and handballs (10) as well as equalling his previous best in disposals (17) and kicks (11). His disposal efficiency was also up 15% on last year.

Season Highlight:
Djerrkura really stood up against his old team Geelong in round 22 with 16 disposals at 88% efficiency, eight marks and three tackles. While he did not score a major he played a large role in the Bulldogs attack with four goal assists and eight inside 50s. His tireless efforts through the middle and pushing forward saw arguably one of the best games of his career.
