The Footscray Bulldogs have gone down to Richmond by 25-points at Punt Road Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Despite leading at quarter time, the visitors couldn’t find momentum throughout the contest, falling 14.11 (95) to 10.10 (70).

Skipper Lachie Sullivan was impressive for the visitors, collecting 25 touches and kicking two majors in a dominant performance that kept his side in the fixture.

Riley Garcia showed plenty through the midfield to gather 26 touches, while Stef Martin had 21 touches.

Roarke Smith kicked multiple goals as he pushed his case for a return to the senior side, as Hayden Crozier continued his form in the VFL with 21 touches.

Footscray started full of run at Punt Road, booting three of the first four goals in a blistering start.

Smith had a goal inside the first minute of the fixture, snapping from close range to open the account.

Dom Bedendo and Sullivan converted to kick clear early, before the Tigers kicked two late keeping the margin to 11-points.

The Tigers owned the second and third terms, kicking six goals to two, opening up a two-goal lead heading into the last term.

In a frenetic final stanza, both teams combined for eight goals as the Tigers ran out 25-point winners.

The Bulldogs move to 1-2 and currently sit 14th on the ladder.

Footscray will next face North Melbourne at Arden Street on Good Friday.
