The Western Bulldogs have gone down to Darebin in their round six VFLW clash at VU Whitten Oval.
The Bulldogs tried hard but it was the visitors’ six-goal opening term that ultimately hurt the most in the 0.4 (4) to 12.12 (84) affair.
The hosts managed to stem the bleeding in the second quarter, keeping Darebin scoreless, but only added three behinds for their efforts.
It was all the Falcons in the second half, booting six goals to one behind to close out the game.
Lucy Schneider led the stats sheet with a game-high 28 disposals, with Eliza Vale (22 touches, three tackles), Eliza Morrison (21 touches, four tackles and five marks) the Dogs’ next best.
The Bulldogs’ next challenge will come against Geelong on Sunday 3 April.
