Western Bulldogs midfielder Clay Smith has successfully undergone surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Rupturing the ACL graft in his right knee in Saturday’s match against St Kilda, Smith underwent traditional reconstructive surgery on Tuesday night.

Smith is now recovering and is in good spirits following the procedure.
