Western Bulldogs defender Eleanor Brown has been named in AFL Media’s Team of the Week for round four.
The 22-year-old was named as one of five players in the backline, after her 18 disposals and 10 intercepts against GWS last Friday evening.
She backed that performance up with another 15 touches and three tackles in last night’s additional match against the Dockers.
Sarah Allan (Adelaide), Nat Grider (Brisbane), Maddy McMahon (Geelong) and Aine Tighe (Fremantle) were the other defenders named for round four.
The team is selected by AFL Media’s Sarah Black, and selected to mirror the All-Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.
Like the All-Australian team, it has players selected in general categories, rather than in traditional positions.
