The road to recovery for Josh Bruce has taken a major step forward this week, running for the first time since injuring his ACL in Round 21.
The 29-year-old couldn’t wipe the smile off his face while running with teammate Toby McLean at Friday’s training session.
Bruce transitioned from the Anti-Gravity treadmill over the past few days, having taken his first steps on the machine in late November.
The key forward had a fantastic 2021 season, kicking 48 goals in 20 matches before being injuring his knee on the eve of finals.
Both Bruce and McLean watched on as the squad took part in match simulation across the morning, ramping up preparations with Round 1 less than 50 days away.
