Marcus Bontempelli has achieved just about everything in the game of AFL, and he’s only halfway through his career.

And while his on-field exploits are already famed, he now has a new off-field pursuit which is set to be just as successful.

‘The Bont’ is now a children’s book writer.

Bontempelli has created Little Bont and the Big Secret, co-written with Fiona Harris, illustrated by Megan Higgins and published by Affirm Press, which was released on October 26.

The story is a celebration of Bontempelli’s beloved late nanna Nancy, who was always his biggest fan.

It’s a heartwarming story about honesty, family and, of course, a little bit of footy.
