AFLW Bulldog Ellyse Gamble is one of three recipients of the AFL Players Association’s Education and Training Excellence Award.
Gamble was recognised for outstanding results during her course with long-time partner of the Western Bulldogs, Victoria University.
She won the award alongside Collingwood player Nathan Murphy and Geelong Cats youngster Nina Morrison.
Gamble is currently in her fourth year a Bachelor of Education degree and has achieved high distinctions for each of her subjects during the course of her studies so far.
Throughout her course, Gamble has also won three individual awards - the VU Most Outstanding First Year Bachelor of Education Student in 2018, the VU Award for Innovation in Secondary Curriculum in 2020, and the National Exceptional Teachers for Disadvantaged Schools award.
Gamble has been able to juggle her studies with her career at the Bulldogs, along with her casual employment.
She is a foundation member of the Bulldogs’ AFLW team. Since joining the Club for the 2017 season, she has played 22 matches over five seasons.
