Tom Liberatore was drafted via father-son selection in the 2010 AFL Draft, with his hardness and contested ball efforts a great asset in helping the Bulldogs gain first use of the footy. Liberatore had a breakout year in 2013, statistically ranked the best inside player of the competition, but took his game to the elite level in 2014 to claim the Charles Sutton Medal. After a knee injury cruelled his 2015 season, Liberatore bounced back in 2016 to be an instrumental part of the Club's finals run. Despite a late-season ankle injury, Liberatore bounced back to play all four finals, and was a key member of the Club's AFL Premiership side. A key figure in the Bulldogs’ on-ball brigade the last three years, Liberatore’s efforts saw him claim consecutive podium finishes in the Charles Sutton medal count.
