A mature-age recruit, Ben Cavarra's AFL dream became a reality after being selected with pick number 45 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. A Morrish Medallist as a midfielder, Cavarra’s switch to a small forward in the past two seasons was rewarded with back-to-back VFL Team of the Year selections. Cavarra has impressed in the VFL in recent years, kicking 66.51 in his last two seasons for Williamstown. Injury interrupted Cavarra's first season on an AFL list, but was finally able to break through for his debut in Round 1, 2020. He managed two more senior games after that, slotting four goals overall.
