The Footscray Bulldogs have fallen to the Box Hill Hawks by 43 points, this Saturday at Etihad Stadium, ending their four-game winning streak.

The ‘Scray got off to a strong start, booting four goals in a powerful first term, before a scoreless second quarter saw the Hawks take a nine point lead into half time, causing a dismal shift for the home side.

Developing ruckman Tim English performed well in his first game back from injury, booting a goal in the first term and laying six tackles. Sharing ruck duties with Jordan Roughead (15 disposals, 18 hit outs) and Tom Campbell (10 disposals, 19 hit outs), English also got his hand on twelve hit outs.

Mitch Honeychurch (25 disposals, four tackles) enjoyed a sound performance in the midfield, while Lewis Young (21 disposals, two tackles) stood tall in the backline, taking nine crucial marks.

Co-captain Angus Monfries put another strong performance out on the park, collecting 23 disposals and nine marks while Will Hayes continued his impressive form with 19 touches and six tackles.

The Footscray Bulldogs head to Casey Fields next Sunday, to take on the Casey Demons at 2pm.
