The Western Bulldogs will host an official event to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May, and National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) ahead of a VFL/VFLW doubleheader against Collingwood at Victoria University Whitten Oval this weekend.
National Sorry Day is held annually to acknowledge and recognise members of the Stolen Generations.
As part of the commemorations, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags will be painted on the ground and Bulldogs president Peter Gordon, and CEO Ameet Bains will host a morning tea in the Boardroom for members of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
Footscray will take on Collingwood at 11am, followed by the VFLW side at 2pm. For full match day and ticketing information click here.
