AFL Round 8 - Western Bulldogs v Brisbane

The Western Bulldogs will recognise and celebrate the significant contribution women make during the Club’s Round 8 home game against Brisbane.

Ahead of Mother’s Day on Sunday, the Bulldogs’ players mums will form a Guard of Honour that will greet the players as they enter the field ahead of the 7.25pm bounce.

This rounds game is all about women in sport and emphasising participation, there is several activities on the external concourse promoting this. The match ball will feature the names of all our AFLW players to celebrate their achievements this year.

There will be a host of Food Trucks located outside Gate 5, make sure you get down ahead of the game to grab some pre-match food, enjoy live music and a drink in the Garden Gate Bar.

UCube – the brand new kids zone

Located on the internal concourse at Gate 5, UCube is a giant play area that will keep the kids entertained. There are ball pits, marking activities, jumping castles, slides, obstacles and much more!

Sports Hub

There will be plenty of sports activities located between Gate 4 and 5 on the external concourse where we are celebrating Women in Sport.
There will be great activations and activities by Netball Victoria, Football Federation Victoria and Cricket Victoria
There is also the chance to WIN 1 of 2 Six Month Premier Gym Memberships – Valued at $600 each thanks to South Pacific Health Clubs at their activation.

Footscray End Fan Zone

Come in join in the fun at the Footscray End Fan Zone located at Gate 7. It will be a hub of fun, entertainment and activities!

Activities include:

  • Player autographs
  • Player lockers to get your photo with
  • The Press Wall where you can get a photo holding your own post-match press conference
  • Face painting
  • See how you shape up against our team by testing how high you can jump and compare your foot size.
  • Giveaways

Fatality-Free Friday

Outside of Gate 7 Bob Jane T-Marts will be activating to help promote their support of Fatality Free Friday.

Fans should look out for the inflatable car at Gate 7 prior to the game.

For those that sign the pledge to drive safely during game day will get a free branded key ring.
