Easton Wood has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, after sustaining a broken hand against St Kilda on Sunday.
The 24-year-old injured his right hand in the final term in a marking contest, and scans last night revealed a fracture.
Club Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said Wood will have surgery later today to stabilise the area, and will now look towards returning fit for pre-season training.
“Wood has unfortunately sustained a broken hand in Sunday’s game and it was determined surgery was the best course of action,” McKenzie said.
“Subsequently, Easton will not be available for selection for the remainder of the season, but we expect he will be fully recovered by the commencement of pre-season.”
