Boyd wins Education award at AFLPA MVP

Western Bulldogs captain Matthew Boyd was recognized for his off-field achievements at Tuesday night’s AFL Players’ Association MVP Awards, winning the La Trobe University Education & Training Award.
Boyd topped a list of eight nominees, including teammate Liam Picken, that was judged by a panel that included AFLPA Chief Executive Matt Finnis, AFLPA General Manager Player Development Brett Johnson, and members of La Trobe University faculty.
The award recognizes the academic achievement and professional development pursuits by AFL players outside of football.
Boyd has completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA).
