In conjunction with AMES – Adult Multicultural Education Services, the Western Bulldogs provides the opportunity to learn vital social skills while actively participating in sporting activities to new arrivals. The weekly program is aimed generally at young adults (17-24) and aims to enhance English language, encourage physical activity, strengthen identity and culture through cohesive interaction, and promote social connectedness. This year Big Spirit will be kicking off on Tuesday 13th March at the Whitten oval.
The Big Spirit facilitates planned pathways for young adults into local sporting clubs, provides match experience, facilitates participation of non-players in officiating roles e.g.; scoring, boundary umpires and most of all, provides a positive sporting and learning experience.
